This time on NES Action we are looking at Bubble Bobble 2. This game is decidedly better looking than the first game, but I feel the first is overall a better game. Maybe it is the nostalgia or a large amount of time playing one compared with part two, but part two just feels a bit off to me.
The controls are solid but feel a bit more floaty than the first game, and while the sound and music are fine, I miss the originals theme song.
That said it is still a great game and loads of fun both one player or two players. It is the difference between giving the first a 10 and the second a 9.8. Both solid, fantastic NES games.
