Star Hero Session Four
Continuing from last time in Star Hero, Alesandra and Trinity defeat the droid that they were facing and head further down the corridor, entering the main Promenade of the ship
Meanwhile, Rathon manages to short out the barrier and heads towards the bridge.
There are 2 people on the bridge, and they refuse to open the reinforced door. They report that they are basically holding the ship together with the maneuvering thrusters and Give Rathon a crew pass to try and save other people. They warn that the invaders are bug-like, and they are next to invisible to many mechanical senses such as cameras.
Proteus found a staff ID on a corpse in the Auditorium and used it to get to the crew area of the ship.There he found a group of about 30 people holed up behind barricades. They tell Proteus that the bugs appear to have a 5-day life cycle, and go dormant for a bit every few days. This is currently that time. They will not leave their secure area without a larger rescue force and a firm plan.
Proteus heads down to the engineering deck and finds that it is sealed. The engines are overhearing and close to going critical due to the constant strain of the engines being used to keep the ship in one piece. Proteus takes the elevator to the bridge level and meets up with Rathon.
Trinity and Alesandra see bugs on the Promenade starting to stir. Trinity cannot really see the bugs with her cyber eyes without using her ultraviolet vision filter. It looks like they are walking up and the team feels a greater sense of urgency.
With the engines failing, the party decides to “Fly” the front half of the ship to their ship for docking as Travis will not take their ship through the Debris field. They pitch this to the survivors in the lower levels and after a bit, they agree. They start to talk the elevator to the bridge 5 at a time when after the first 10, the lift stops working.
After looking at a map of the ship, they decide to re-route them to the stairs. Proteus looks down the elevator shaft, and seeing the bugs coming up, burns up his pistol welding the doors shut.
Alesandra and Trinity head for the stairs the survivors are using. On the way, they encounter 3 bugs doing something strange to the wall. They engage and take out the bugs, but can not figure out what they are doing and instead go escort the survivors
Everyone makes it to the bridge, and they guide their part of the ship to dock. Everyone is saved, and they are dropped off at a neutral planet and the party gets a nice reward. They search the ship for stray bugs, then take R&R.
